History of PIP’S Entertainment
PIP'S (People Informing People) Company was founded in Los Angeles by Derrick Pipkin nineteen years ago in 1987. Since then, the company has employed a staff of 75 for it's events, which includes marketing and promotion staff, box office, technical and logistical crews. PIP'S has produced numerous successful, high quality events targeted to diverse audiences over the years including: world class concerts of all genres, high profile art shows, fundraisers for nonprofits, domestic/foreign independent film events, Super Bowl parties, professional networking events and more.
In addition to the ticket buying audience, civic leaders, local press and politicians recognize PIP's events for their quality.

Year Anniversary Palm Springs Jazz & Soul Weekend Getaway - July 27-29, 2007 Entering our 11th year this 3
day event is a weekend package, which consists of a weekend of networking, theme
events (White linen casino night , Pajam Party ) golf tournament, health and
wellness fair, day excursions to the local area and factory outlets and two
nights of "Music Under the Stars" concerts. The event ticket includes
your room at the hotel where performances are held and admission to all shows
and performances, which run continuously throughout the weekend.
Currently, we have established the premier Jazz & Soul Weekend Getaway
(Annual Palm Springs Weekend Getaway), at the Wyndham Palm Springs Resort. Last
year's event brought 2000 guests to the Wyndham. Over the last Ten years more
than 20,000 guests of all races and ages have experienced the PIP's Palm Springs
Weekend Getaway. Our stellar line-up of performances have included: Eric Bene't
Loose Ends, Miki Howard, Teena Marie, George Johnson, Jammie Foxx, Poncho
Sanchez, Norman Connors, Jean Carne, Bobby Lyle, Kevin Toney, Craig T. Cooper,
Cal Bennett, Ronnie Laws and the Laws family and more! This year's event will
prove to bring even more aficionados to the desert for a weekend of fun, sun and
fun.

Entertainment at the Century Plaza Hotel in Century City, CA.
Pan African Film Festival
- PIP's
hosts independent films from domestic and foreign filmmakers at the Jefferson
Park Studios, in historic Jefferson Park IN Los Angeles, California. Sixth year
running.

PIP's goal is to provide high quality multi-cultural performances and exciting unique events, which will attract new audiences of all ages and races, while establishing loyal customers. PIP's also prides itself on supplying consistent superior and professional production and technical crews that not only meet the venue's/show's requirements, but also work within budget.Our Audiences
The mailing list for PIP's reflects the diversity of the city of Los Angeles.
Our events draw people of all ages and races. Also, many baby boomers who have
been loyal followers of our events in various venues and cities are now bringing
their children to the events as well. Although we attempt to keep our ticket
